The longest motorcycle is 14.03 m (46 ft 3 in) long and was created by Colin Furze (UK). It was presented and measured at Saltby Aerodrome, Leicestershire, UK, on 14 October 2008.

A parade of 128 BMW C-1 motorcycles took place at the village of Einsiedeln, Switzerland, on June 12, 2004 as part of the SwissC1:2004 event.

Billy Baxter (UK) reached a speed of 265.33 km/h (164.87 mph) while riding a 1,200cc Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle unsighted at RAF Boscombe Down, Wiltshire, UK, on August 2, 2003.

Unveiled on June 21, 2003, the world's largest dirndl dress was created by Gabriele Hein-Fischer (Germany) and is an exact replica of a traditional Bavarian style, with a skirt measuring 2.9m (9.5ft) long and 9m (29.5ft) in diameter. Complete with bodice and a wide skirt tightly gathered at the waist, the dress is a perfect scaled-up size 38, and has sleeves that measure 1.5m (4.9ft) in length.

A Fender Stratocaster guitar signed by a host of music legends fetched US$2.7 million (then £1.57 million) at a charity auction for Reach Out To Asia at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Doha, Qatar, on November 17, 2005. Stars who signed the guitar included Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Eric Clapton, Paul McCartney, Jimmy Page and Brian May (all UK). The Reach Out To Asia campaign seeks to support worthy causes around the world, with particular emphasis on the Asian continent.

Ted A. Batchelor (USA), a professional stuntman who has been performing fire stunts since 1976, endured a full-body burn without oxygen supplies for 2 min 38 sec on an island at Ledges Quarry Park, Nelson, Ohio, USA, on July 17, 2004.

Peter Lavinger of New York, USA, has collected over 1,300 famous drummers' sticks since 1980. He was faced with a peculiar problem after he had picked up his 100th starry stick. He had no proof of their amazing origin. "People would say 'Yeah, sure it was'," he remembers. It led to the mammoth task of tracking down drummers and persuading them to sign their own sticks from 13 years ago!

Grande Dixence, on the river Dixence in Switzerland, is the highest concrete dam in the world. It was built between 1953 and 1961 to a height of 285 m (935 ft), with a crest length of 700 m (2,297 ft), using 5,960,000 m³ (7,800,000 yd³, 210,400,000 ft³) of concrete.

The world's deepest underwater postbox is located 10 metres (32.8 ft.) beneath the waters of Susami Bay, Japan.

The world's largest dental caps measure 50 cm (19 in) long, 13 cm (5 in) in diameter and weigh 13 kg (28 lb) each. They were fixed onto a pair of cracked tusks belonging to Spike, a resident Asian elephant, at the Calgary Zoo, Alberta, Canada during a 3 hour 30 minute operation on July 4, 2002. The stainless steel caps were designed and manufactured by the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology with metal donated by Corus Steel and adhesive by 3M (all Canada).

The smallest submarine was made by Pierre Poulin (Canada) and has a displacement of 620 kg (1366.9 lbs). Its official dive was made in the Memphremagog Lake, in Magog, Quebec on June 26, 2005.

The tallest self-supported rose bush measured 4.03 m (13 ft 3 in) on December 5, 2005 and grows in the garden of Paul and Sharon Palumbo (USA) who live in San Diego, California, US

The world's heaviest lemon weighed 5.265 kg (11 lb 9.7 oz) on January 8, 2003 and was grown by Aharon Shemoel (Israel) on his farm in Kefar Zeitim, Israel.

The heaviest apple weighed 1.849 kg (4 lb 1 oz) and was grown and picked by Chisato Iwasaki at his apple farm in Hirosaki City, Japan October 24, 2005.

The tallest dog living is Gibson, a harlequin great Dane, who measured 107 cm (42.2 in) tall on August 31, 2004 and is owned by Sandy Hall of Grass Valley, California, USA.

The world's longest goldfish (Carassius auratus) is owned by Joris Gijsbers and measured 47.4 cm (18.7 in) from snout to tail-fin end on March 24, 2003 in Hapert, The Netherlands.

The world record for the highest jump cleared by a dog is 172.7 cm (68 in), achieved by Cinderella May a Holly Grey, owned by Kate Long and Kathleen Conroy (both USA) of Miami, Florida, USA, at the Purina Incredible Dog Challenge National Finals, Gray Summit, Missouri, USA on 7 October 2006

The oldest living kinkajou (Potos flavus) in captivity is Huggy Bear, who turned 27 years 6 months old in January 2004 and belongs to Sonja Pedersen (USA) of Holiday, Florida, USA.

The longest rabbit ears measured 79 cm (31.125 in) in a complete span on November 1, 2003 at the American Rabbit Breeders Association National Show in Wichita, Kansas, USA. The ears belong to an English Lop called Nipper's Geronimo who is owned by Waymon and Margaret Nipper of Bakersfield, California, USA.

The world's longest goat horns measured a tip-to-tip spread of 132 cm (52 in) on April 16, 2004 and belong to 'Uncle Sam' the goat, who is owned by William A and Vivian A Wentling (both USA) of Rothsville, Pennsylvania, USA.

The largest gold coin weighs 100 kg (220 lb 7 oz), measures 50 cm (19.6 in) in diameter, 3 cm (1.1 in) in thickness and is made from bullion with a purity of 99.999 per cent. The legal-tender coin was introduced on 3 May 2007 by the Royal Canadian Mint with a face value of CAN$1 million (US$900,375; £451,585).

The largest swimming pool in the world is the San Alfonso del Mar seawater pool in Algarrobo, Chile. It is 1,013 m (3,324 ft) long and has an area of 8 ha (19.77 acre), it was completed in December 2006

The youngest radio presenter is Kimberley Perez (b. 20 February 1998) (USA) who hosts a show every Saturday 3-7pm, on KLAX 97.9 La Raza FM, in Los Angeles, California, USA, which started when she was 5 years old.

Adám Lörincz (Hungary, b. 1 June 1988) was aged 14 years 76 days when his 92-minute musical, Star of the King was performed on August 16, 2002 in Szekesfehervar, Hungary.

The oldest rider to regularly perform in public on the Wall of Death is Jerry De Roye (USA, b. Gerald Jones, September 4, 1927). He continues to present his Trick'n'Stunt performances on the vertical Wall of Death riding a 1927 V-Twin Indian Type 101 "Scout" motorcycle.

Jerry first watched a Wall of Death stunt when he was 11 years old on a visit to a local musement park and immediately decided it was all he wanted to do in life. However, when he approached riders to ask to be trained many were reluctant as competition in the business was fierce and the last thing they wanted was another rider on the circuit. By chance though, during a stay in hospital, he was browsing through a magazine when he saw an ad that asked for a Wall of Death rider. As soon as he left hospital he went to the address not expecting Eddie Monte to open the door. Monte a.k.a. Speedy Williams was Jerry's idol when he had regularly visited fair grounds as a youngster. After a few months of training Jerry was ready but there was one thing missing: a name. Shortening Gerald to Jerry, picking out Roye from a magazine about musicians and adding a little bit of French color, Jerry De Roye was born. He made his first ride in 1956 in Blackheath in the Midlands and hasn't stopped since. The only accident he has had in all these years is a broken thumb and the odd bump and bruise. Asked how long he will keep going he says, 'I'll never stop, it's in my blood".

The Dare Devils Team of the Indian Army Signal Corps achieved a motorcycle pyramid consisting of 201 men balanced on 10 motorcycles, on July 5, 2001 at Gowri Shankar Parade Ground, Jabalpur, India. The pyramid travelled a distance of 129 m (424 ft).

A team of 10 Royal Marine reserves from all over the UK pulled a Boeing 737-300, weighing 37 tonnes (81,500 lb), a distance of 100 m (328 ft) in 43.2 seconds at Manchester Airport (UK) on January 27, 2001.

Ashrita Furman of Jamaica, New York, USA set a distance record of 37.18 km (23.11 miles) in 12 hours 27 min on June 22, 1997 at Queensborough Community College Track, New York, USA. Ashrita holds the most Guinness World Records of any indiviual - sacking racing, brick carrying and underwater rope jumping are some of his other records.

The most live rattlesnakes held in the mouth by their tails without any assistance is 10 by Jackie Bibby (USA) for 10 seconds as part of Guinness World Records day on 9 November 2006 in New York City, USA.

It's death defying, it's daunting and it's downright dangerous. But England's John Evans balanced a 159.6 kg (352 lb) Mini on his head for 33 seconds at The London Studios, UK on May 24, 1999.

Dangling cars from his head is all in a day's work for professional 'Head Balancer' Evans. He's balanced people, books and beers, but the car's by far the most deadly trick - a strong wind and it could be the end of the road for John.

John's a gigantic guy. He's 2 meters tall and weighs in at 155.7 kg (343 lb). But it's his 60.9cm (24-inch) neck that's the only part of his body strong enough to take such immense weights. So the slightest slip, trip or nudge could send him tumbling to a crushing death, as his arms wouldn't be able to cope with the load!

David Huxley pulled a Boeing 747-400, weighing 187 tonnes (184 tons), a distance of 91 m (298.5 ft) in 1 minute and 27.7 seconds on October 15, 1997 at Sydney, Australia. David has now retired from the strongman circuit. He currently owns and runs an event management and public relations company called Tartan Warriors, based in Sydney, Australia.

Garry Turner, of Caistor, Lincolnshire, England, stretched the skin of his stomach to a distended length of 15.8 cm (6.25 in) on the set of Guinness World Records: Primetime in Los Angeles, California, USA, on October 29, 1999.

Garry has a rare medical condition called Elhers-Danlos Syndrome, a disorder of the connective tissues affecting the skin, ligaments and internal organs. With this condition, the collagen that strengthens the skin and determines its elasticity becomes defective, resulting in, among other things, a loosening of the skin, and "hypermobility" of the joints. In more serious cases, it can cause the fatal collapse or rupturing of blood vessels.

Lee Redmond (USA), who has not cut her nails since 1979, has grown and carefully manicured them to reach a total length of 8.65 m (28 ft 4.5 in) as measured on the set of Lo show dei record in Madrid, Spain, on 23 February 2008.

The longest nail is the right thumb: 90 cm (2 ft 11 in).

The world's longest documented hair belongs to Xie Qiuping (China) at 5.627 m (18 ft 5.54 in) when measured on May 8, 2004. She has been growing her hair since 1973 from the age of 13.
